It is a movie that came out in 2017, based on a book by Stephen King called "It." It was made by a bunch of companies and distributed by Warner Bros. It's the first movie in a series, and it's about seven kids in a town called Derry who are being scared by a scary creature named "It." The kids also have their own problems to deal with. The movie was directed by Andy Muschietti and written by Chase Palmer, Cary Fukunaga, and Gary Dauberman. A bunch of actors were in it, including Jaeden Lieberher, Bill Skarsgård, and Sophia Lillis. They filmed the movie in Toronto and a few other places. It came out in September 2017 and did really well at the box office, making lots of money. People liked the movie and thought it was well-made. It won some awards and was nominated for others. There's a sequel called "It Chapter Two" that came out in 2019.

It 2017 Plot:

In October 1988, Bill Denbrough makes a paper boat for his little brother Georgie. Georgie sails the boat on the rainy streets of Derry, Maine, but it falls into a storm drain. A clown named Pennywise appears and bites off Georgie's arm before dragging him into the sewer. The following summer, Bill and his friends Richie, Eddie, and Stan investigate Georgie's disappearance, and they encounter terrifying manifestations of Pennywise. They call themselves "The Losers Club" and learn that It appears every 27 years to feed on children before returning to hibernation. They venture to It's lair and defeat It, and Beverly kisses Ben to revive her after being catatonic. The group makes a blood oath to return to Derry if It comes back. As summer ends, Beverly tells Bill she is leaving, and they share a kiss.
