Don't Breathe is a horror thriller film made in the United States in 2016, directed by Fede Álvarez and produced by Ghost House Pictures and Good Universe, with distribution by Sony Pictures Releasing. It stars Jane Levy, Dylan Minnette, Daniel Zovatto, and Stephen Lang, and follows the story of three friends who break into a blind man's house and get trapped inside.

Álvarez, who previously worked on Evil Dead, wanted to make a film with less blood, a new storyline, and more suspense. The film, originally titled A Man in the Dark, was announced in 2014 with Álvarez directing, Sayagues writing, and Raimi and Tapert producing, with Levy as the lead. The filming started in Detroit in June 2015 and wrapped in July of the same year.

In "Don't Breathe," three young delinquents from Detroit - Rocky, Alex, and Money - make a living by breaking into houses and stealing valuables. Rocky dreams of moving to California with her younger sister to escape their abusive mother and her boyfriend. After receiving a tip about a blind Gulf War veteran, Norman Nordstrom, who has $300,000 in cash in his abandoned Detroit home, they decide to rob him. However, things take a deadly turn when they discover that Nordstrom is not as helpless as they thought.
