Iron Man 2 Plot:

In the movie "Iron Man 2," Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, reveals his identity to the world and continues to use his suit for peaceful purposes, resisting government pressure to sell his designs. However, he discovers that the palladium core in the arc reactor that keeps him alive and powers the armor is slowly poisoning him. Meanwhile, Ivan Vanko, whose father had a history with Howard Stark, builds his own arc reactor and attacks Stark during a race in Monaco. Stark's rival, Justin Hammer, sees potential in Vanko and hires him to build a line of armored suits to upstage Stark. Stark's reckless behavior leads to Rhodes taking his prototype armor, and Fury approaches Stark with information about his father's past and a new element to save his life. At the Stark Expo, Vanko unleashes his armored drones, and Stark and Rhodes team up to defeat him. In the end, S.H.I.E.L.D. decides to use Stark only as a consultant, and a post-credits scene sets up the next movie.
