Saw is a scary movie from 2004. James Wan directed it and Leigh Whannell
wrote it. It was their first time doing this for a movie. The movie is
about two men who wake up in a bad bathroom. They are chained up and
need to escape. They have to do something terrible to survive. The movie
was made with a small budget of $1.2 million and only took 18 days to
film. Saw did really well at the box office and made more than $100
million. It became one of the most profitable scary movies since Scream
in 1996. Saw II, a sequel, was released in 2005. The movie was
re-released in 2014 to celebrate its tenth anniversary.
Saw (2014) Plot:
Photographer Adam Stanheight and oncologist Lawrence Gordon wake up in a
bathroom, chained and with a corpse between them. They find tapes in
their pockets giving them instructions, and hacksaws to escape. As they
attempt to follow the instructions, flashbacks reveal their connection
to the Jigsaw Killer, a man who sets elaborate traps for his victims.
Meanwhile, Lawrence's wife and daughter are held captive by the Jigsaw
Killer's accomplice. A former detective, obsessed with the case, is also
watching them. As the deadline approaches, the truth about their captor
is revealed, and a shocking twist ending leaves one man dead and the
other at the mercy of the Jigsaw Killer.
