Scoob! is an upcoming American computer-animated adventure comedy film based on the popular Scooby-Doo franchise. Produced by the Warner Animation Group and directed by Tony Cervone, the movie features a star-studded cast, including the voices of Frank Welker, Will Forte, Gina Rodriguez, Zac Efron, and Amanda Seyfried as the Scooby gang. Other classic Hanna-Barbera animated characters are voiced by Mark Wahlberg, Jason Isaacs, Kiersey Clemons, Ken Jeong, and Tracy Morgan.

The film, which is a reboot of the Scooby-Doo movie series, is the first installment in a planned series of films set within a Hanna-Barbera shared cinematic universe. The screenplay for the film is written by Adam Sztykiel, Jack Donaldson, Derek Elliott, and Matt Lieberman, based on a story by Lieberman, Eyal Podell, and Jonathon E. Stewart.

Plans for a new Scooby-Doo film started in June 2014 when Warner Bros. announced that they would be rebooting the movie series with an animated film. Cervone was hired to direct the film in August 2015, with Dax Shepard joining as co-director in September 2016. However, Shepard left the project by October 2018. The majority of the cast was hired in March 2019, and animation services were provided by Reel FX Animation Studios.

Originally scheduled for release in theaters in the United States on May 15, 2020, Scoob! was eventually released to video on demand due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite this setback, the film is highly anticipated by fans of the Scooby-Doo franchise, and it is expected to be a fun-filled adventure that will introduce a new generation of fans to the beloved characters.

Synopsis

For as long as they can remember, Shaggy Rogers, Fred Jones, Velma Dinkley, and Daphne Blake have been traveling the world and solving mysteries alongside their loyal companion, Scooby-Doo. But their most daunting challenge presents itself in the form of a global "dogpocalypse" orchestrated by Dick Dastardly and his faithful dog, Muttley. In a twist of fate, the gang is recruited by the valiant Blue Falcon to put an end to the villainous duo's nefarious plans.
